"Writing is the only thing that, when I do it, I don't feel I should be doing something else."  - Gloria Steinem

I am a freelance writer and former associate editor who resides in Atlanta, Georgia. In June 2009, I left my job as an editor to begin volunteering full-time with an inner-city children's program, but continue to freelance. For the past six years, I have written and edited a diverse number of articles, including cover and feature stories for national and regional magazines. My work has ranged from home design features, travel stories, and health articles to food reviews and cultural commentary pieces. If it's a good story, I'm game.

That's been true almost as long as I can remember. My affinity for writing began at the age of 6, even before I could tie my shoes.  (Yes, I was a late bloomer. No, I don't want to talk about it.) Little did I know when my teacher wrote on my first grade report card "Suzanna expresses herself well in writing" that she was foreshadowing my future career. And, the rest, I hope, will be history.
